Edgewater Cleaners is a local family owned dry cleaning and laundry business located in Biloxi, Mississippi. Edgewater Cleaners is known for our involvement around the community. Edgewater Cleaners is the “Home of Mississippi’s Coats for Kids”, a non profit charity that cleans coats and distributes them to anyone in need of a coat along the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Edgewater Cleaners is known coast wide for our willingness and ability to clean the hard to do items. We are in the customer service business and are willing to do whatever it takes to satisfy our customers needs.
David Blaine
CEO/Owner
Blaine has over 27 years of experience in the dry cleaning and laundry industry. He began his career as the manager of Edgewater Cleaners in 1985. As his passion and knowledge for the industry grew he decided to buy Edgewater Cleaners. Blaine became the owner of Edgewater Cleaners in 1988. Since this time he has expanded the company and turned it into one of the best dry cleaners on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Blaine is a Certified Professional Dry Cleaner and a Certified Environmental Dry Cleaner, one of only a handful in the state. Blaine is a past president of the Mississippi Fabricare Association and the South Central Fabricare Association. He is currently a member of the Dry Cleaning and Laundry Institute International and the Southwest Dry Cleaning Association. Blaine believes it is important to give back and be involved in the community. In 1988, Blaine founded “Home of Mississippi’s Coats for Kids”, a nonprofit charity that cleans and distributes them to anyone in need of a coat along the Mississippi Gulf Coast. In 1996, he founded “Turn your Coat Hangers into Trees”. Blaine has sponsored and coached numerous sports teams along the Gulf Coast. Blaine has been involved in many organizations such as: Biloxi Bay Chamber of Commerce, Gulf Coast Chamber of Commerce, Edgewater Rotary Club, and others throughout his career. He is currently serving on the Biloxi School Board. Blaine is married to Susan Blaine, his high school sweetheart and the Certified Public Accountant for Edgewater Cleaners. They have three children. A set of twin boys, David and Matthew, who manage the cleaners and help run the day to day operations along with Blaine. He also has a daughter, Christy. Blaine is committed to making his family, community, and business better.
